Guidelines for Submissions to FotoFax the NVPS Newsletter & the NVPS Website
If you would like to submit information to be published in Fotofax or on the NVPS Website,
the following information will be helpful to you. It's important to note that we only publish information
that is related to photography and we do not accept advertising as this would be contrary to the mission of NVPS.
Our membership is from the the Northern Virginia and Washington DC
metropolitan area and we limit most of the information to local intrest.We will publish the following type of information that may be of interest to our membership:
- Photographic Competitions: Website & Fotofax
- Exhibits: Website & Fotofax
- Field Trips: Fotofax only
- Workshops: Fotofax only
Additional items are accepted from members, please see information below.
Please note for all submissions we do not accept attachments, pdfs, images, etc. Please provide the information in plain text with as little formatting as possible. You are free to provide links to additional information.
All requests should be sent to editor@nvps.org.
Specific guidelines for Workshops and Fieldtrips are below.
Use a separate row for each class being submitted. Under "Dates" place the date of a single-day workshop or the beginning and ending date of a series. Under description, you should include a 1-2 sentence description of the workshop. Additional information should include cost, location, meeting day(s), times.

Guidelines for Members Announcements
We have a special section on the website for members announcements. If
you are a NVPS member and
you are exhibiting your work or have had images accepted for
publication, this section is for you to let your fellow club members and
the rest of the world know. Send an email to editor@nvps.org and
we'll post it on the website for you and include it in Fotofax when
possible. This benefit is only available to members who are current with
their dues.
