Competition: “No Theme” with Judge Jim Steele

January's Competition Judge is Jim Steele. There is no theme.  James Steele is a photographer in the tradition of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. Working primarily in medium and large format, his “scapes” of land, sea, and body represent the finest in traditional and digital photographic imagery. Forum: "Work It" The title of my forum discussion is "Work It!" I shoot all kinds of subjects but it's relatively rare that I spend more time and attention on what's in the viewfinder than two or three exposures. I do move position and change in-camera crop and consider the orientation, but "see it, shoot, move on" is my usual photography mode. The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is the destination for the NVPS February Field Trip, scheduled  to meet at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 16th.    The museum is located in Chantilly near the Dulles Airport, accessible from Route 28.  The Center is the companion facility to the National Air and Space Museum at the National Mall.
